Doing my absolute nut in people like Spencer Oliver saying oh he’s the last person I expected it from. Why? Just cos your mates with him. He was on talkSPORT earlier saying he actually felt sorry for him wtf.
When you look at this career all the signs are there so yeah, why would he be the last person? I bet Whyte was also the last person and BJS and Fury etc etc
If someone said to me "one of the British boxers has been busted for PEDS" one of the first names I'd have said would be Conor Benn.
Yeah, I had my suspicions. He went from Campbell Hatton level power to knocking out higher level fighters like a beast, which seemed to happen at a suspicious rate, mainly during lockdown. This feels much bigger news and more of a scandel than the Whyte or Saunders drug tests, maybe because of the amount of attention and hype around this fight, maybe its because of the actions of the promoters being blatantly exposed. I don't see Benn coming back from this, you can't sweep this one under the rug like the others. Hearn can put a positive spin on most things and talk his way out of a lot, but this is something else.
Boxing Social's YT interview with him yesterday was like a revelation compared to the cliche statements, "I don't know about that"s, opinion as fact, and general BS spouted by people I would have expected more from. I live and learn.
Yeah I saw a bit of it and he spoke well. Bit of a cheap shot on my part that one, both he and Samuels are decent journos. Mind boggles at how some people view things.
It’s the same when they find a mass grave in someone’s back garden. The neighbours always say he was a nice polite man who kept to himself!
