I'm sure the end goal will be to discredit the process in anyway possible. Regardless if he gets a ban or not and no matter how Hearn spins it. He still failed a test for a banned substance.
It will be this. On advice form his legal team you are better off going to a hearing unlicensed. He would have done it under advice and hearing will still happen but will be full investigation
Our site lads at work get randomly drug tested on site. If they fail they get removed from site straight away. The only way they can fail is by taking drugs. It doesn’t matter about levels or other tests they’ve done or second samples, it doesn’t matter if there’s half a key or 10 gram in their system. If it’s in their system it’s because they’ve taken it. Hearn is just digging a deeper and deeper hole.
Whole things confusing to be honest, benns clearly guilty,if that was me I'd be screaming from the rooftops if I knew I was innocent, instead he gives up licence Be interested in what eddie hearn says now,his next 'ppv' star gone
Hearn: He tested positive. Positive is a good thing. Negative means bad. So I don’t see how you can call this a failed test when his result was positive. Back in school I often had positive results when I passed classes and when you failed it was a negative … so we quibble over terms. Thank you for attending my Ted Talk.
What a bizarre, convoluted statement. Is he basically insinuating his licence had lapsed so the BBBofC can't dish out any punishment? Every move they make just makes him sound more and more guilty. He needs to just pack it in, live off his inherited money in Australia and forget about boxing.
Spoilt little Ming, silver spoon baby not used to facing consequence for anything he does. He is absolutely finished and his credibility, even among casuals is absolutely awful
Lots more to come on this story. Benn won’t be out for long surely if Hearn has anything to do with it.
From the sounds of it they tried to make him face different charges to that of the test. So he relinquished his license. This is going to be very interesting as if Benn proves in a court of law he’s innocent there will be a major lawsuit on the boards hands. One that would cripple them
