    benn was / is my favourite british fighter of all time , thought he won the rematch with chris also

    Yes he out-boxed Chris in the rematch, he countered his counters and beat him to the counter-punch! The ducking, slipping and weaving of shaven-headed Benn in the open-air at Old Trafford was so impressive - Chris basically was reduced to 12 rounds of inaccurate shoeshiners that would've taken out almost all other fighters 10x over.

    Benn also boxed wonderfully against unbeaten Henry Wharton in his next fight. Predicted to lose due to Wharton's incredible power and chin, Benn jabbed him to bits and bobbed on the ropes and countered. Same with come-forward brick-shithouse Giminez and 6ft4 Morgan (robbed against Tiozzo in prev fight after Tiozzo had just been robbed of WBA title).

    The 1st fight between the two of them was a classic war and at the time I was surprised Eubank won that type of fight, I thought he would box him to a points decision.

    Liked the way Benn bounced back from the defeats to Watson and Eubank.

    It's impressive for a power-punching intimidating 'bully'-type KO fighter to come back so well from being on the receiving end.

    A true fighter. A throwback.
