A great chance to watch an all time classic tear up. 11.15pm.

Nice to see them aiming directly at the uk public, wont read too much into it tho.

    :bbb

  2. Superb fight. Well worth another watch.

The post-fight interview is also magnificent. As the fight ended early ITV had time to spare so interviewed both fighters for about 10 minutes. Brilliant stuff.

They have been showing some good stuff. Hope they decide to show some new fights too.

I was at the fight and Benn, not in the best of shape, basically ran out of gas, although Eubank showed real balls as the crowd was very pro-Benn. Chris took his chance.
The show was marred by one of the worst undercards, surely, in the history of boxing, including Michael Watson vs a horribly shot Errol Christie.

Yep, watched it on there a few weeks ago - it is certainly worth another watch :yep

They have been showing a lot of classic Brit fights recently like Turpin vs SRR, Louis vs Farr and Stracey vs Napoles.

This fight helped to get the WBO established.

Think Tommy Hearns was their 1st champion. Light-heavy against James Kintchen. Dont know the year but sure they used the hitman to help give the belt some prestige.

But Nigel Benn hurt Chris Eubank more..than in the rematch.

    Nigel Benn was in shape..!

The first fight was at a faster pace, and higher intensity..!

    Both Fighters where ****ed..!

My first visit to live fight, NEC, loved every minute, seem to remember Benn had big trouble making the weight, probably one reason why he was knackered, classic night....

Perhaps we should do a nostaligic RBR for it tomorrow!? Could start a "classic revisited" RBR.
