I may be missing the point but this whole business seems ridiculous. Two boxers at different weight and different parts of their career have a bad tempered pair of fights because their dad's did 30 odd years ago ? Neither seem to be as good as the old fellas .Has made plenty of dosh for them but I was surprised the casual fans got so interested.
The build up to the first fight was fun and it was a real decent fight. Fight two was a fizzer. And yes neither Connor Benn or Eubank Jnr are a patch on their dads as fighters.
It's hard to explain if you're not British or old enough to remember it. In Britain we would rarely have a world champion let alone 2 at the same weight. Then there was the huge clash of boxing styles and characters. The characters and boxing styles of Benn Jr and Eubank Jr are similar to their fathers and their characters are also similar. It's almost like a pantomime. While not being world class, it was a good match - the first at least, except for the rehydration clause, which was very wrong IMO
