Benn v McLellan documentary commissioned by ITV

Really looking forward to this, a fight that got me into boxing!!

 

The sister knows in her heart of hearts, her family are to blame for the retarted decision to get him on a flight to America, so Benn is an easy target for her guilt and anger.

Well as long as she can channel the rage and guilt to look after her brother for the rest of his life, i guess some good can come out of it.

 

yeah mate, but I've seen a similar programme about this fight, some of those interviews are from that programme in that trailer.

Only time I recognise some of those quotes/clips are from a few years back on ITV Boxing where there was a few mins raising awareness for the Gerald McClellan benefit evening.

I spoke with Bobby Razak a few weeks ago and he said ITV were trying to buy footage of his film 'Fallen Solider' to use in this new documentary about the fight.

 

Any news when this is coming out?

 

"It was McLellan's family that ****ed his recovery up. They insisted he be removed from the UK and flown back home to the states, when he was already in a stable recovery in a UK Hospital............i beleave then Mcllellan condition got allot worse when he was flown home"

 

remember watching this fight.

as i did all the big fights of that era.

still one of the best fights i've ever seen.

obviously such a tragic outcome.

it's a shame his family have never really forgiven nigel.
