Benn wins at 160 is power takes over. The only fights benn had trouble at 160 was against decent boxers such as against watson and eubank is two losses.

fair points pal, though eubank did stop benn in the 1st fight. benn should have got the victory in the 2nd figh though instead of the draw.

think there were quite a few fights where benn got rocked with a single punch, though to his credit he usually came back and fought fire with fire.

i'd back benn to win this in a 3 round war though pavlik would definitely stand a punchers chance imo.

Eubank did stop Benn but at that stage was a genuine puncher. Not quite as murderous as Benn but certainly harder than how he punched later in his career.

The second Watson fight did that to him for obvious reasons - something he has admitted himself.

Benn was rocked countless times...... more than I care to remember, but had great survivial instincts and knew that if he fired back accurately enough the opponent wouldn't be able to take his shots.

Benn was slightly better than AA with similiar punching power...Benn KO within 6. Eubank would school Pavlik.

I'm not sure if this is a good fight for Benn.

I think he was an awesome fighter, but you watch his fights at 160lbs and the guy you see has an awful chin. 168lbs was a different story, but this is a man who was knocked out by a Michael Watson jab 8lbs below that weight. There is absolutely no doubt that if Pavlik lands a big right hand, Benn won't react well. The difference in this fight is that Pavlik can take what Benn has, but you can't say the same the other way around. Considering this fight would be similar to Benn/Barkley or Pavlik/Miranda, I'd have to go with the guy who has the better chin: Pavlik.

I try to see things objectively. Like most people on this site, I do prefer fighters from England, but I don't let it cloud my judgment.

I agree with you. what Hopkins done to Kelly has made no difference to my prediction. Ofcourse Benn had the power to KO KP, but that door swings both ways...

    I'm thinking Pavlik wins this.

Think people: Pavlik is a better boxer than Benn, he hits hard enough to take out Benn with one shot despite the fact he's more of an accumulative puncher, he punches straighter then Benn and he's smarter and more ring savvy.

His jaw wasn't that bad, but it was very weak. He got knocked out with a jab, so he wouldn't be able to take Pavlik's power.
