Benn V Pavlik, 160lbs

Have you seen the shots he took from Watson, Logan , Dewitt, Eubank, Barkley etc ? Against Watson he blew himself out and he wasnt knocked down by Eubank , instead losing because he couldnt see out of his left eye and was a sitting duck to eubanks powerful rights. This **** about Benns chin is a myth. Have you ever seen the mclellan fight ? so what it was at 8 pounds higher, all that means s mclellan had even more power.
If you are taking Benns best at MW, against Dewitt, and Pavliks, against Taylor, Benn wins easily.If you take Benns all time best,he ****ing destroys him.

 

I think Benn at 160 losses but would beat Pavlik by UD @ 168.

Pavlik should never have been considered top 10 p4p at any time in his career and I think some Americans got carried away. I have been following Pavlik for a while even before he got big from the Miranda victory and I have always considered him to be a talented fighter with a bright future.

A very slim chance against some one like Benn. I am not hating on Pavlik just for the sake of it but I think still has a bit more to prove and I am looking forward to seeing him take on AA.

All I say, is that Pavlik has a legit chance to pull it off, because of his chin at MW, who wasnt great by anymeans, and this means, that with big power of Pavlik at MW, he has a chance to knock him out.

so what if he tooks a beating vs Hopkins? he wasnt ready to go to 170, and wasnt ready to face a slick fighter and intelligent like Hopkins. + all the things which went in Pavlik camps when they should had report the fight.

Maybe not, but if the fighter is considerably weight drained, it can have a big effect. A boxer will never go from china to granite, because it's a natural attribute. However, when the body doesn't have to dehydrate so much, a chin can improve.

Look at Cotto, for another example. Weak at 140lbs, sturdy at 147lbs.
