Imagine Benn's profile should he take this fight and win.

Josh Taylor, a real fighting man, would see this as a huge test and a huge opportunity to climb the ladder.

It is a fight that would generate great interest and hope it does happen.

Taylor is elite, Benn despite his bravado knows he isn't.

I understand and agree with this. Broner v Benn would be of interest on both sides of the Atlantic.

I don't buy this. His last two fights have been televised against UK opponents on Sky Sports.

IMHO it's wrong to pretend he's the unknown quantity he was before the Kelly bout.

He isn't a big name, sure, and Russia isn't as important to DAZN as the USA is.

Benn v Broner would be a rubbish fight, I don't understand why so many people are up for this, Broner hasn't been in an exciting fight for years and going to prison on top of being very inactive for a man of his age isn't going to suddenly change that. The only thing that would be remotely interesting would be the pressers but even that will have a staged feel about it.

At this stage Benn beats Broner simply on being more active during rounds. Broner is shot to pieces and gun shy. He doesn't throw enough punches and can be outworked. No way does Benn stop him but he gets a decision. To me, it shouldn't even be a conversion anyway. One is hungry and the other is a waste of space who pretty much retired ages ago.

Benn has gone a lot further than I thought he would. I don't believe he's world level, or even fringe world level but not too long back I didn't even think he was area level so fair play to him for the improvements he's made.

It's frustrating listening to them talk tripe but Benn gets the casuals interested. I don't see to many other fighters doing that at the moment.

It's all about marketing. Josh Taylor is a far more spiteful boxer and person in build ups to fights, he's a far more talented boxer and he has balls ten times the size of Benn's but he's not getting anywhere near the exposure his achievements and attitude to the sport deserve.

Agreed. Taylor doesn't have a famous dad that the older generation can reminisce about unfortunately. He's gotta plough his own trail. Meanwhile, Hearn and Co can try and rinse what they can out of the Eubank, Benn, Hatton offspring.

We all know the reason why this fight won’t get made, but I really think it would be a great fight and even if Benn were to lose if he showed plenty of heart it wouldn’t really halt his progress at all. It’s a massive shame it’s not happening.

At least he has Sky now. He’ll be amazed at what their marketing team and platform can do to his profile.

Exactly, which is why I don't know why people are trying to have a go at Frank Warren and Avanesyan about it. Benn becomes a serious contender if he wins this fight, not beating up washed up former champs.

They could probably even make it a final eliminator too.

There is much more excitement with this fight than a fight with Broner and although Benn would be an underdog for me, it would be a great fight while it lasted and it is winnable.

At the age of 25 and now having a CV with 20 fights, 20 wins on it, this is the fight he needs to fully self measure his progress and career potential. These are the type of fights people want and remember plus he would rocket up the @Mitch87 CV ratings.

There should be no downside for Benn if he lost as he is young enough to learn from the experience and come back stronger.
