Briscoe was a nearly man in his own era ,but could shine in this one. I was an admirer of Abraham ,but his deficiences were exposed,in the Simon fight imo.He fights in spurts has a suspect defence ,no head movement,but is very strong,I dont like how high he carries his head and beleive Pavlik beats him. Briscoe beats Abraham ,and is 50/50 with Pavlik. Bennie's era was stronger with more depth to it, it needs a classy boxer ,or a better technician to beat Briscoe ,a Rodriguez or Griffith ,Valdes or Monzon,that quality is not around at present , today he might go all the way.imo.
