Eubank would win the first six rounds and Briscoe would take seven of the next nine. Eubank was tremendous at slipping the jab at the last moment with delicacy but Bennie aimed his jab to the back of the head, through the front of the head, in a thumping fashion on the way in - not as a range-finder like Watson/Malinga/Rocchigiani. Eubank would respond with body shots and uppercuts, twists and turns and multi-directional foot movement in a heavy-paced fight, being wore down. He'd try to beat Briscoe to the body shot, but be too worn come the middle rounds of the 15-rounder, as Briscoe begins to pound the body. Eubank via very close decision in a very tough fight.
It's Eubank, for a start(winky thing), but I think Briscoe would win due to his workrate and pressuring style. Eubank hated fighting at a fast pace and Bennie would force him to. I think he'd really test Chris's great chin, too. Safest bet is Briscoe on points, in my opinion. Good match up.:good
Briscoe would win, as stated already, by virtue of his workrate and intense pressure, coupled with dangerous power. He would prevent all the posturing and antics that Eubank was famous for by setting a fast pace, also as stated earlier by ribtickler68.
Eubank wins this, he's the much more gifted boxer, quicker, great reflexes, stronger, ATG chin. He also does better against pressure where he doesn't have to go looking for his opponent. He'd beat Briscoe to the punch more often than not, although yes Briscoe wins some rounds on workrate.
Is this prime for prime? Because Briscoe, for all of his reputation, never beat anyone as good as Eubank.
Eubank would win over ten more often than not.Even fight over 12 and Briscoe over 15 with a late surge taking advantage of Eubank's stamina issues.
