Great idea. Assuming the fight happened in 1975 or 1976, when Finnegan was at his peak, it could have gone either way. Of course the prime "Bad Bennie" was superior to Finnegan. But by 1975, Briscoe was somewhat past his peak, and he might have had trouble with the tough, shifty Finnegan. The fight definitely goes the distance. I lean very slightly toward Briscoe. I'd rate this as either 50/50 or 55/45 for Briscoe. Tough call.
I like Kevin on points at his Peak, Barring Cuts of course, and with Bennie's Ramming Jab, cuts can not be ruled out, Kevin did seemed to suffer from a lack of motivation at times, and seemed to often jut be going through the motions, as against Kalule or Weir, However when on form, there was no doubt about his Chin, Skill, Mobility, Stamina or duribility, Whether its the Kev who beat Bouttier, Tonna (2nd) Sibson, Lucas, or indeed Fought Minter to Close decisions, and Gave Hagler all the fight he wanted, before Cuts stopped him in the 8th when all level, Kevin for me ha the skill to Matador Bennie, and the Toughness to Come through any Tough patches with the Typical Finnegan resolve, - But i must say again, its a big if, If he doesnt get badly Cut. Kevin can win on points, Like brother Chris, Kevin Never Folded under Pressure. (Not Even a Broken Jaw !)
