Bennie Briscoe vs sergio Martinez

    Do you think Bennie would figure Martinez out? I feel he would. Alot of people think Briscoe was just a big puncher with a concrete chin, he could be cute as hell in there, rolled with shots very good, great timing, if he had the proper time to prepare and not have to work a 9-5 I think he could have been so much more

    Big Bennie fan here, but Serg's speed, accurate punching and all around ring general ship would dominate all 12 or 15 rounds.

    agree. i know he was old but i see a similarish fight as briscoe-hagler. cautious boxing from the outside, jabbing, combos but moving and avoiding an inside fight. martinez UD

    If Bennie caught him like he did Monzon, he'd put Martinez's lights out.

    I'd favor Martinez to win, but he certainly wouldn't dominate.

    I'd favor Martinez as well...due to footwork and speed. Very tricky style and southpaw...but Briscoe has a puncher's chance.
