If that's the case, then why didn't he beat Wlad when he had the chance? And why didn't he beat Toney more decisively, so they woudlnt' have to had a rematch?

Because Wlad is a more diversified fighter than Peter.. To me that fight should have been a draw anyway. I didnt say dominate by the way, I said successful.

Peter gave Wlad all he can handle in there first fight, you cant expect too much from a 25 year old guy with what like 22 fights.

It's only a sad time if your favorite HW isn't doing well huh? I'm quite happy with the current HW division & I believe it has a lot of nice matches to be made. You're just pissed off that a fighter you hate Wlad, is the ****in' man right now & it kills you doesn't it? I myself could not be happier! :D

Vitali's chin might be better than Sam's and I know his technique is quite a bit better as well as his speed.

It sucks because of such minimal talent, and what great Heavywieght matches are being made Mccline vs Williamson or old Holyfield vs Iggy. If holyfield does happen to win, that just goes to show you how bad the Heavywieght division really is. Make a thread that asks if the heavywieght division is bad right now or not, I bet at least 70% agrees with me.

The individual talent, other than Wladimir, is less than stellar, but there are some exciting potential matchups that could be made.

I wish you & lefthook31 would get a new play in your 1 page playbook. You seem to have only one, "HW no good now". Sheesh :-(

You guys are reminding me of an ESBer that went by raven a while back. He actaully had good knowledge, but would write pages of text on the forums & replies to articles arguing to anyone who would listen how overrated Wlad was (he seemed to have it in more for the younger K bro). I stopped reading the guy after about 6 months. The only reason I read as much as I did is that he actually would go through tortured, winding "logic" to make his case. Which just meant there was so many ways to counter his argument, you didn't know where to begin. :yep I don't think he was a pure hating troll :think but he had serious issues with a pro fighter. Me? I've never spent so much time hating any entertainer - which is what these guys are. Since I don't think raven was ever in the Ukraine, I don't think Wlad took his lunch money, gf, or whatever. Anyway, it was wierd. He had a real obsession with Wlad.

I speculated that the reason he spent so much time on Wlad, was because he lost money betting for and against Wlad ! :rofl
He must have gone off the deep end during Wlads recent wins :yep

That might explain some current :| posters issues too.

Believe it or not I used to like his older Brother Vitali and liked the way he would slug it out with other fighters until he pussed out on fighting Rahman 3 or 4 times, I know he was injured but how how many times do you want to me to buy that story. As far as Wlad goes I do dislike him he made up reasons why he lost to Brewster the first time they fought, if he would of just said the man was able to take my punches and I lost because I was tired that would of been cool with me. Wlad still has a weak chin he just knows how to deal with it better and it hasnt been tested since Peter, I believe Peter will be beat him next time because now he doesnt smother his punches anymore he takes a step back then punches. I will make a deal with you if Wlad beats Peter I will post a picture of me wearing a "I LOVE WLAD" shirt so everyone could see how wrong I was, thats how confident I am Peter will beat him the second time around.

Glad you sort of appreciated the older bro. Wlad is hardly the worst fighter w/the complaints after losses. He's middle of the road in the exuse dept. I'll say it again, Wlad-Brew I was a very strange fight. :think Something happened to Wlad that nite besides LB.

Look, I think Peter has a fair chance vs Wlad, but I favor Wlad.
I had Hasbeen as a slight fav in his 2nd fight with Oleg (like 6-5 odds) - mainly going by the fact that Oleg was older. Rahman has never been a consistent fighter, so you never know which HR shows up. Of course Peter has a better chin than HR... and Oleg is even older now. That's why I'm picking SP vs Oleg. Against Wlad, that's a tall (ha ha) order :yep

If you're serious about the "I LOVE WLAD", then you must really like Sams chances !

There was nothing wierd about that night just that Wlad punched himself out, he looked to be on his way to the same way in the Mercer fight in which his face was all blue and distorted. Wlad had a history of tiring easy before his fight with Brewster, I believe he had a similiar problem with Ross "THE BOSS" Purity. As far Peter beating Wlad I think its only a matter of time before we see that happen, there needs to be a change in direction the heavywieght division and that change is Sam Peter.
