Berbick-Tate KO -- One of the strangest KO's I've ever seen

    I recently rewatched this KO a few more times and am still baffled by it. Just the way Tate runs away from Berbick, catches a few shots to the back of the head/neck, collapses and stays down for quite a while. His legs even start twitching. Just a bizarre scene.

    I dunno if I agree on that. If a guy turns his back on you, he’s the one not being sportsmanlike. A fighter facing an opponent who literally turns and runs (as in turns his back completely) should be able to punch if the ref doesn’t step in and stop it or at least warn/penalize the guy.

    Big John also turned his back on Teofilo Stevenson. Literally turned and walked all the around to the other side of the ring and sat down in a corner. So we have some idea how he handled being concussed — it may not even be a conscious reflex with him — lights on and nobody home type thing.
