    :rofl

This is up there with those other famous "dives", like Marciano-Walcott I, Ruddock-Dokes, and Jones-Griffin II.

if it was a dive it was the worst over-acting job in history!

btw, who's the weirdo that kisses tyson on the lips after the fight?

I at least thought there could be some debate to it. Looks iffy to me.

The punch slid, just like it did against Savarese.

Not sure if he took a dive, but the way Berbick stumbles all over the place look superfluous.

I might entertain the thought that Berbick quit rather than taking a dive, similar to Seldon and Savarese.

Berbick got hammered in that fight. If he took a dive, he sure hid it well and made it as embarrassing as possible for himself.

people have too much time on their hand to dissect a tyson fight from 1986 and still be the only one who believes he took a dive. ive never EVER EVER heard anyone say a that about the berbick fight....shows the guy is a rookie fan that hasnt seen many fights when they happened and appreciated the huge build up and live original airing.... youtube does it no justice

    Just watched it

The left CLEARLY lands on the temple, hence the breakdacncing when trying t get up. I have no idea what you are looking at to draw the conclusion that it didnt connect.

ive seen the punch a million times and its a short crisp punch to the frontal lobe part of his brain.... not a chance it was a dive IMO, just the right shot from the right puncher on the right guy at the right spot

    imo

Everyone take note: This is how normal grown folks express disagreement. Thanks Kirk :):good

It could be it hit a good spot even though it touched his glove first, Tyson was a powerful puncher, it could be Berbick just was tired of it and decided to fall down. I was looking for debate and opinions and this is it. I remember when I first saw this fight I thought that it looked strange, this many years later with the advent of youtube I decided to bring it up.

I blame my over-the-top thread title a little for the idiocy in this thread, but mostly I blame the "stfu n00b" idiots responding.

Took a dive? WTF? I don't think I'll hear anything as crazy as that for the rest of the week, let alone the rest of today.

Berbick was out-fought. He received a beating from Tyson. Tyson's punches were pin-point, accurate, extremely sharp!

Berbick probably felt like he was fighting two guys because he was hit very hard very frequently!

If Tyson-Berbick is a case of a fighter taking a dive then someone please sohw me what a beating is!
