Loma wins handily IMO but it's a fight I'd really like to see.

This fight should have happened years ago before Loma moved to 135. Loma takes it.

If Loma can knock Linares out, he can beat Berchelt too. Don't get me wrong, I think Berchelt is a quality fighter, but he is simply not Loma's match.

Lomachenko doesn't lose to anyone anywhere near his proper weight class.

If old shop worn battled aged Orlando Salido can beat Nomaschenko, Miguel Berchelt has a damn good chance.

I'm still pissed Nomas moved up without taking Berchelt's challenge.

Its also worthy to note that Lomachenko has not fought a similar fighter to Salido and the younger Berchelt is a similar fighter.

Berchelt wanted no part of this fight when Loma was at 130lbs.

Is berchelt more dangerous to Loma at 135lbs than Comney is?? More entertaining?

Cambell, Teofimo, Comney and Berchelt is a damn good future lineup. Not a bad fight in there.

Let's not talk about the past, shall we ? The current Loma has already surpassed himself of six years ago by leaps and bounds. Watch Loma's video again of his two first pro fights and the current ones, you can see that his current level of technical quality and experience is vastly superior. Against Salido, he still showed clumsiness and instability sometimes. Nowadays, Loma already knows what he wants to do next, fully confident of his skill, almost never show hesitation and most importantly, can handle dirty fights. What work against him in the past is not going to work against him again. Besides, Berchelt is slow.

Nomaschenko has not fought a strong pressure fighter like Salido ever again. Miguel Berchelt was a champion, THE Champion at 130 and was calling Loma out, but for whatever reason Loma did not care to fight him.

Just because Loma didn't care about him, it doesn't mean that he was ducking him. So far, Loma has fought people who are bigger and has longer reach than him, and defeated them all. It doesn't make sense that Loma avoided him. In December 2017, Loma conducted a poll in his twitter asking his followers who do they want him to fight the most. Garcia came out as the winner with 46%, Davis came second with 37%, Linares was next with 13%, and Berchelt got smallest number of votes of 4%. With that poll result, Loma was sure that his next plan is to move up weight class and with Garcia as the biggest target in his conquest. It's only natural to target bigger name and bigger prize. And this step proves to be the right way as he successfully collected two belts last year and on verge to get his third this year.

I have a theory that one of main reason why Loma left the 130 is because of Tank Davis constant refusal to fight him and taking hostage of WBA belt, thus would make his plan to unify in this weight class to be difficult, if not impossible. He told this in his interviews. So there's nothing to do with Berchelt. Just look at 130 now, it's a mess. No one of the champions actually serious considering to unify against each other. All just talk, talk, and talk.

I never said Nomas ducked him. I simply stated what happened. Berchelt was the champ at 130, Loma was the champ at 130.

Berchelt called Loma out, Loma ignored him.
