I would feel this way had Wilder even remotely earned his #1 ranking.
So to me it's not a duck anymore than ducking any other promising, but unproven prospect. Let's say Joseph Parker, or Anthony Joshua for instance.
Wilder has done no more to earn his shot than Parker, or Joshua.
Do those guys deserve a crack at a belt yet?

I totally ignore the fact Wilder is #1 WBC. What does that really mean anyway?

Wilder is a threat yes, but so are the rest of the top 10 in the wbc. Stiverne is a good fighter, but look.......
    1. Deontay Wilder
    2. Bryant Jennings
    3. Alexander Povetkin
    4. Mike Perez
    5. Carlos Takam
    6. Lucas Browne
    7. Derek Chisora
    8. Vyacheslav Glazkov
    9. Chris Arreola
    10. Andy Ruiz

There are no easy fights there, and Wilder is the most over ranked.

If Takam's promoter made a huge offer, and he took that fight would it still be a duck?
It's not like Wilder is a bigger threat than Takam, or more deserving.

Yep, and I really do think they will fight on Kings terms with Roc Nation winning the purse bids.
Al Haymon is probably in check mate.
There is no reason for King to do things Haymons way when Roc Nation will drive up the purse bid, which is in Kings favor.
Would not surprise me if King puts the wbc, and Haymon on ignore, and just waits until the purse bid can no longer be postponed.

Why would Roc Nation bid on a fight, where theres a good chance one side will pullm out??

Im pretty sure Jay-Z wants to actually be a promotor. He didnt get a licence and put up millions just to kid around with Al Haymon

Because if they pull a Quinnlin it cost's Roc Nation nothing.
That's the beauty of this type of situation.
Roc nation has all the power here. Kiddng around, and outgunning GBP regardless of Haymon makes a huge statement that they are serious.

Since it's taking an age for that fight to get signed. Ice age's have come and gone faster.

It honestly wouldn't shock me. Wilder faked visa issues to avoid the terrifying Dereck Chisora :rofl and has also ducked the bomber Manuel Charr, the destroyer that is Tony Thompson and the iron jawed David Price :rofl

It's obvious Wilder is waiting until Wlad qualifies for a free bus pass before challenging him and is content to feast on bums until then.

The opposite is true: Stiverne and King are avoiding Wilder.

Deontay wants the fight, Stiverne wants to hold the belt hostage for as long as possible.

If Stiverne only fights Wilder for the following 8 years, he will keep his belt easily.

There is negociation problem between promoters and managers. Stiverne's Manager Eye of the tiger management want the fight in Montreal or Quebec city and Don King wanted it in the States.

I have no clue why it's taking so long but I am always bothered when Don King is involved... it's kind of annoying that this man still has a foothold in boxing
