If they go ahead, and actually complete the deal probably March would be my "guess".

Wilders got much more to lose in this than Stiverne.

Stiverne was never that highly regarded in the first place and he certainly wasnt seen as some sort of heavyweight messiah that Wilder is.

Without the extremely early stoppage (uncalled for) vs demetris King Bermane Stiverne would still be undefeated.
Thus i am betting all my Vcash on Stiverne.:bbb:bbb:bbb

Wilders been placed on a higher pedestal, he's got a long way to down.

This fight will tell us everything we need to know about Wilder.

Is he really that good? or is he a bum feeder.

Whoever wins, i want them to face Wladmir.

I think so too, but I'm not going to bet one dime on it.
Stiverne obviously is the more proven and probably better overall fighter, but stylistically this bout is clearly in Wilder's favor.

It all depends on if Stiverne is smart enough to go for the kill from the start and is able to stick with that gameplan if he doesn't blow him out early.
This for me is one of these rare fights in wich a fighter shouldn't fight to his own strength and shouldn't bother with a plan B, but just stick with plan A to exploit his opponent's major weakness.

Doesnt that play into Wilders hands?

My suggestion would be, to avoid Wilders power early, take him into the later rounds (of which he has NO experience) and then drown him.

On seconds thoughts, i get what your saying. Gain Wilders respect early, have him shook and keep him like that. The way Lennox did with Ruddock, Golota, Grant etc

And don't stay back as he's used to, because that's exactly what plays in Wilder's hands who can hit him from the opposite side of the ring with his extreme reach.

Oh, they've signed the contract? I'm surprised, I thought Wilder was ducking him like RJJ ducked Collins.

I am sure Stiverne has a trick up his sleeve (literally) (probably just a counter right hand).

I think they will prepare for Wilder accordingly, whereas Wilder to me, will just 'hit the punchbag harder'

Out of the two, Stiverne is smarter.

What i want to see is how Stiverne handles Wilders reach and power

Will stiverne go straight for the kill or try to box and take wilder out later? What do you think hr should do? Discuss!

I think he'll start out boxing and wait for the knockout to come to him. If he fights like this, he could actually end the fight very quickly because Wilder leaves himself so open.

The Stiverne jab should catch Wilder on the way in and set up the big right hand. The ko probably comes easier if he starts wit a boxing mentality and doesn't go for the kill.

    Just touch his chin.

Even if Stiverne would intentionally hold back, i doubt he'd have the sensibility to land light enough to not completely devastate Wildest equilibrium with the first punch he landed.

I think he'll edge forward with a high guard and look to counter with an overhand right. He won't need to chase Wilder too much as Wilder is best on the front foot, Wilder will come to him most of the time. I think he'll KO Wilder early.
