Bermane Stiverne vs Derrick Rossy Nov 14th - who wins

That's all hype and BS. Stiverne wasn't hospitalized till after the fight. No trainers let their fighter go into a fight dehydrated.

If he was really ill, why did he not try to get a rematch?

 

Stiverne actually does have some rematch clause for "down the road" with Wilder according to Don King. I don't want to even get into those negotiations as they were some of the shadiest dealings in a long long time. And make no mistake that it was no mistake that Molina (another Don King fighter) was allowed the first crack at Wilder.

 

No trainer but Don King will. I dont care about the rematch, the diagnosis was official.
Tho i never want to make excuses for anyonne loses so its Stiverne fault.
And i do think Wilder would beat Stiverne 9/10 times, but thats because Stivirne is bad and limited as hell.
Still Wilder could not get KD, while a nobody like Rossy with less then 50% KO manage to KD Stiverne.
And Stiverne could not KO Rossy, while Kubrat Pulev destroy him in 5 rounds ...

 

Don King isn't a trainer, he's a promoter.

And Wilder did knock Stiverne down, he didn't get credit for it because the ref was an idiot.

 

Foreman turned pro in June of 1969, fought Frazier in January of 73.... Less than 4 years into his career. Wilder was still facing complete tomato cans at that point of his career, and not to mention he had far less fights.... Also worth noting that Foreman fought Chuck Wepner in only his 4th fight, Peralta, and Chuvalo all within his first 22 fights.... He also fought TWENTY times within a year of his turning pro. His opposition prior to Frazier is levels above anything that coddled joke Wilder has faced in his pathetic career.

 

Proportional to his time comparing with Wilder's opposition proportional to his time, no it really was not.

 

It really was.... Wilders opposition for his first 25 fights was absolutely PATHETIC. There's some good fighters, and tough journeyman on Foremans resume. Wilder avoided tough journeyman like the plague, and instead faced blown up morbidly obese MW's, and guys who were shot to bits like Owen Beck. Just because some of the guys on Foremans record don't have wikis doesn't mean they weren't better than some of the guys on Wilders record, different time.... Pretty easy for a tough journeyman from that period to have a wiki. Someone of Sherman Williams, or Zach Pages calibur from that period wouldn't have a wiki today.

 

How relevant are his first 25 fights to an obviously improving fighter?

 

I agree that Wilder could've been awarded a knockdown here.

 

Very relevant..... The fact they weren't willing to risk putting him in with a tough journeyman who would have given him rounds and experience says a lot about him, even though he's improved considerably. You and I know that there's one thing in boxing that you can't train. :yep

 

Been a month since the fight and it's still nowhere to be seen....... Wasn't broadcasted, and I guess no one recorded it.

 

All that fight would show you is WBC heavyweight champ = journeyman..

Bit sad..
