Good fight on paper this one between two top 10 fighters from their respective eras. Bruno would have some early success with the jab as Stiverne covers up and stays compact waiting for an opening. I don't actually think Bruno is anywhere near as durable as Arreola and this would no doubt prove decisive here. Stiverne is going to catch Bruno with his monster punch right counter at some stage and I can't see how Bruno survives that. I'd go for Stiverne to win by stoppage within eight rounds. Stiverne's power is massively underrated. People talk about Wilder's but his has never been tested against the like of foes Stiverne has crushed.

    Stiverne stoppage.

Bruno KO. If Bruno was around in todays weak era he'd probably be champ.

Bruno had stamina problems over a 12 round distance. But he had a great jab and could put you to sleep with 1 punch...with either hand. He gave Lewis hell for a few rounds. Tyson was too fast and just wrong for him but against conventional boxers he was very good. I'd have to pick Bruno but you can never know with these kind of things. I sure wouldn't bet any huge sums on this one. I mean Stiverne apart from his 2 wins over Arreola...who was he? Who had he fought? Looking through his record he was KOd by Demetrice King, had a draw with some other bum, and got a TKO 10 over Ray Austin but apparently was getting a boxing lesson earlier in that fight.. Hmmm...maybe we need to see how his next couple of fights go to see really how good he is....in the other speculation thread ie vs Wlad I'd have to go Wlad by KO.

Hard to judge how good Stiverne is at the moment, he has decent skills and good power but all he has done is beat Arreola and Arreola was never that good anyway.

Bruno is better than anyone Stiverne has faced. The big, heavy ramrod jab, serious power and very strong. I could see Bruno dominating behind that heavy jab, when past his best he beat MCall who is better than Arreola, he was outboxing Lewis and was very competitive with Witherspoon before the stoppage. Bruno won't just walk in and be there to hit like Arreola.

But I could see Stiverne getting to a tiring Bruno late in the fight but at this point Bruno is far more proven, I'd favour him to stop Stiverne in the middle rounds.

Bruno wins first 6 rounds, then gets tired, Stiverne lands bomb and follow up attack causes ref to save Bruno who is out on his feet leaning on the ropes

Stiverne ko. Bruno was a mental midget with a glass jaw. He couldn't let his hands go whenever an opponent went past the first 2-3 rounds, and hit back.

In my humble opinion it would be Bruno, all day every day. Massive power and his jab was as hard as most HWs best punch.

Is this for real?, shot Bruno almost had prime Lennox Lewis out at some point and was the first to hurt prime Mike Tyson with a single punch. Bruno knocks Stiverne out.

Is that for real? Lewis didn't come into his prime until at least five years after the Bruno fight.

Bruno would get obliterated by either Klitschko. He had no Chin and no stamina. None.

Bruno would have been an ATG if he didn't have a glass jaw. I would dtill heavily favor him to smash Stiverne glass chin to smithereens.

This seems to be the smart way it would play out. It's a close fight, perhaps even 50/50.

Bruno had a strong ****ing jab and a hell of a bitching right hand Bruno wears him down with the jab and stops him with big right hand and a huge uppercut

Stiverne is a so and so fighter but so it was Terrible Tim who was showing signs of being out of shape with boobies and flabby tissue on his body at the Wembley Stadium in defense of his WBA HW Title won against Tony Tubbs. Bruno was always muscular, fit and committed but exceptionally mechanical, no lateral movement, no plasticity or flexibility in the upper body. Narrow minded and not creative and not to be confunded with focused and too brave for his own sake, Bruno was. I would predict a similar result as against Tim, a 11th round TKO with Bruno ahead on points like in the Oliver McCall fight but holding on to everything he could while eating and swallowing punch after punch until there was no punch left to save himself from.
