***Bernabe Concepcion vs. Juan Manuel Lopez - June 12th Madison Square Garden***

Concepcion is not yet ready for JuanMa. He is too stiff, uni-dimensional and relies more on power than technique. JuanMa has both technique and power.

 

From what i saw tonight lopez knocks concepcion out. His power is overrated he couldnt hurt santiago plus he doesnt throw a big volume of punches. This fight was there for santiago but he didnt take it, if santiago wouldve been busier he wouldve won the fight. Everytime santiago went to the body concepcion didnt like it. Also santiago had concepcion cornered a few times and left him of the hook without throwing. Style makes fights so concepcion could be a different fighter against lopez but as of now i think lopez beats him easily.

Concepcion has showed tremendous improvements.

Except for showing fatigue in the last round, he displayed higher volume of punches, and he was much more aggressive.

The power is already there, and his chin is sound. This is just my opinion, I've seen the kid from his early days personally and he fought big punchers locally never backing down.

The only point of improvement for Concepcion is stamina and to increase the workrate.

JuanMa definitely has to box if he wants a clear win. If he choses to slug, Concepcion is capable of taking him out.

nobody said one punch just know him out in the fight and i dont think concepcion can knock him out.. he didnt show me anything tonight.. if santiago had a little more cojones he couldve easily won this fight but santiago is too nice of a guy for boxing he doesnt have the killer instinct

Don't even think Concepcion can derail the Gamboa fight.

If Concepcion was decisively outboxed by Luevano, who is not even known for his power, Lopez would make a highlight reel KO out of him..

 

I would pick Lopez on this one. Concepcion is a power puncher but not as precise hitter than Juanma who I believe also has strength to put him down. It would be a tough fight for Lopez if he decides to brawl with Concepcion but I think he has more skill and quickness advantage to win. A KO win for Juan Manuel Lopez in the later rounds.

 

Lopez would blast him away.
