Bernabe can crack which will always keep him as a live opponent against anybody. If he ever opens up his offense and learns to jab more often then I think he could really ascend into an elite fighter. He however isn't ready for the likes and JuanMa and shouldn't be pushed.

Hard to favor Bernabe here but hard to count him out too. I think Bernabe would have knocked out Luevano in legit fashion, and I felt he hurt him with a punch before the late punch. I think he is improving with every fight.

We saw Penalosa hang tough with JuanMa before Roach pulled him out and we saw Mtagwa come very close to stopping him. But at the higher weight he went through Luevano without too much trouble.

I think if Bernabe had knocked out Luevano cleanly, as I feel he would have done, and didn't get dominated in the last round vs Santiago, more people may see this as a more competitive fight.

Is Buboy Bernabe's head trainer? What does everyone think about that? Why not Roach?

I don't think you can say that JuanMa was merely drained vs Mtagwa, he got hurt badly. It has to give you a lot of hope if you are a Bernabe fan.

To beat Lopez, Bernabe is going to have to take his game to a higher level, not gas out, and press his opportunities, and damn sure not let up on his defense. Hopefully they make him a huge underdog on the betting boards.

The Santiago fight was the first time I've seen Concepcion and he looked decent in what was a good fight. He isn't on Lopez's level but it should be a good fight, a solid first defense for Lopez. The big question will be does Lopez win by ko or decision?

We might see another Bautista-De Leon in the making here.

Obviously, we know who will be the Boom boom here.

concepcion can win this fight. but concepcion needs to bring his best plus great improvement on this defense, not to mention a couple of lucky stars aligning.

There will be KO wating to happen come fight night. If Bernabe gets gassed out in the late rounds, he'll be kissing the canvas. But if Lopez lets Abe in a brawl, mid-round KO!!!

imo Abe pulls this off and upsets a looming Lopez-Gamboa fight...
