true. he almost lost to two journeymen in two of his recent fights. his is a potential career-ender for concepcion. there is no question that he'll fight to the best of his ability. he should hope that juanma underestimates him

Facing JuanMa is a big problem to almost all super bantams not only to Concepcion.

Concepcion is also a big 122 pounder. There's even talk in the past for him to challenge Featherweight Champ Steven Luevano.

DeLeon is less skilled. If you have big power that can match DeLeon, then you've got big chances. Concepcion has big power.

Sadly Penalosa has no big power and he's small compared to DeLeon.

Maybe Abe will be defeated, but what's important is how he carries himself in the fight. A good showing will negate the impact of a loss...

    JuanMa by TKO

the only chance i see for Abe is if he takes JuanMa to the later rounds and tags him

tell that to czar amonsot. he had a great showing against katsidis but now he can no longer fight because of brain damage. yes, a good showing is nice and all but this is quite a mismatch and abe could get seriously hurt.

I don't see how Concepcion is being rushed...his record is 27-1 and Juanma Lopez is 23-0.

quality of opposition. is not how many times you've won now how many fights you've fought. it's all about quality of opposition

I'll pick Lopez. But definitely Concepcion wont be going down in Round 1.
He is a tough fighter and might even give Lopez a tough fight.

Concepcion is the underdog but definitely he deserves this shot at JuanMa. He's been tested with tough fights, he's been around the world boxing in China, USA, Mexico and of course Philippines for almost 5 years now and he's the no. 3 contender to JuanMa's crown.

Definitely you can't just write off Concepcion in this fight.
