I feel very bad for this fighter.. :verysad http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=319882&cat=boxer Since the disqualification loss he suffered against Luevano it seems like his handlers haven't done a good job on getting him into the right tracks again.. After one fight they fought Lopez! atsch Since then he also lose to Martinez, then a win, and fought Garcia! :yikes I don't know what are they thinking.. :think Just my opinion.. Maybe Concepcion should just go down to 122 since the competition at 126 is just too much for him.. So, how would he compete against the guys at 122? :bbb :bbb :bbb
There WAS no bell when he punched Luevano.. anyways, I thought he'd be something but he's riding off the coat tail of Manny Pacquiao.
Was never high on him. He has terrible work rate and t-rex arms. Me and pacdbest used to argue about his potential. I was right.
He looks promising during the early stage of his career then he goes to Roach and fights under MP Promotions.. :think Could it be that they overrate Concepcion? Anyway, what do you think about him fighting Nishioka? Arce? or Rigo? I did not ask Donaire because I'm sure Donaire would KO him even if Conception weighs 126 in the weigh in..
Maybe they were expecting too much, and the kid is now handled by people who have no business handling people.
He still has a lot to learn and his handlers throw him to fight the likes of Lopez and Garcia.. :verysad A possibly good career that has been ruined.. atsch What's next for him?
He wasn't good enough, I mean if you lose to Lopez who is a vulnerable wildman then you know he isn't going to make it as an elite champion. Just good enough to be a journeyman or contender.
Well, he must do a self evaluation of what he wants to do next. I mean, even though he's 24, he may have passed his peak. A lot of things are going against him now, he seems small for 126 where his power is not as effective back at 122, he's in a division filled with talent, and his handlers are lost on how to take care of him properly. It's either rebuild himself or retire. Honestly, my opinion, get back in the Philippines and rebuild his confidence and reputation with 2nd string opposition.
Lopez only loss to Salido who seems to be a bit too much and not all guys can beat Lopez.. :good That should give him some moral boost.. Maybe after 4 or 5 fights he can rebuild his confidence then try to challenge the ranked fighters again.. Rey Bautista is actually looking good right now.. I think he's now ready for De Leon.. :bbb
Michael Koncz is his manager. I got a little queasy seeing that ******* standing in Bernabe's corner. So if you want someone with no business handling people, there you go.
yea no ****. He doesn't really "manage" Manny if he lets his finances get ****ed up. He's an Arum puppet keeping him dumb and happy. He should be deported from the Philippines, blacklisted from the US, and take his fat filipino wife with him back to Canada.
But he has earned Pac's Trust.. And looks like he's staying.. :-( Concepcion won't leave him and I can't blame Abe.. atsch
that's obviously the biggest mistake of his career. Condes commited the same mistake. Look at Sonny Boy Jaro and Denver Cuello, he should've been on their shoes as well.
If Pac was a gazelle, he'd trust a hungry lion. Bernabe may not have much of a choice cuz the dude is lacking for options but Pac's so called "friends" are doing him a disservice by not prying Koncz away from him. Ariza should have done more when he punched Koncz in the head a few times back during the Cotto training camp. At least I think that's when that took place.
