Bernard dunne a real world champion?

    I don't consider any of the belt orgs titles very signficant when ranking fighters, what I do consider is their performances and opponents and the circumstances surrounding them.

    Dunne's victory over Cordoba was very impressive, Cordoba is a dangerous and highly respected fighter. It was a very significant achievement and a good fight. He showed his Irish heart when he kept getting up against Poonsawat, another very good fighter.

    I don't think any point in time we could have put Dunne as #1 at 122 however he surely cracked the top ten by defeating Cordoba. #1, no, however, how many belt org holders are really the true #1? Not the majority.

    Despite his two disastrous defeats Dunne accomplished a lot in getting as far as he did.

    he beat cordoba who beat cabballero , so yes his title stands up ,just another paper champ imo, he was probably top 5 after his win against cordoba

    there are far worse belt holders down threw the years thats for sure
