    Israel Vasquez is interested in battling Irishman, Bernard Dunne for his WBA Super Bantamweight title.

    The two have already shared a ring in Freddie Roach's Wildcard Gym during sparring sessions when the Irishman was still a rising prospect.

    "I hope Bernard keeps on winning" said the Mexican.

    "I have nothing but respect for him. He's a friend of mine, but sometimes in the boxing world you have to fight your friends and that's just the business we're in."

    "When i sparred Bernard he was fighting at 126lb and i feel that 122lb is harder for him and i would like a chance to fight him in the near future. I would have no problem fighting in Ireland." Said Vasquez.

    "I remember sparring him. He is heavy handed and has a lot of heart. I would like to fight him over there in Ireland and give all the fans over there a match they would love."

    But first the Irishman has a tough defence against Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym.

    That would be a sick fight. Would have to give the edge to Vazquez, though.

    Vazquez said he'd be willing to go over to Ireland, it would probably be at 126 so non-title. Peters contacted Vazquez's people earlier this year for a fight but Vazquez wasn't medically cleared then. Now he is :happy.
