He lost to every fast fisted fighter he fought, whether they were elite like Calzaghe, or a mentally weak B class at best Taylor, it is what it is about BHOP.

Even Cripy Creme Winky who had fast fist who but was badly out of shape and had no business in that division, gave Hopkins problems, and was knocking him back with crisp counters, before the mauling began:lol:

Floyd from 2006-07, weighing in around 147 to 149, beats any version of Bernard weighing in at 160 or less.

He also beats any version of Winky, Pavlik, JCC jnr (or senior), or Taylor under the same circumstances.

    funny **** on this thread.

ill bet some of you guys think that 151 floyd beats prime 160 taylor.

shoulder roll, tootsie roll, sushi roll; 156 b-hop and 160 prime taylor walks his ass down and beats the **** out floyd. after a round of exchanges of eating a flush bernard overhand right or a couple stiff taylor jabs, floyd is in survival mode and is only thinking about finishing the fight.

    ****ing esb forums.

    little cotto bruised him up.

Cotto was weighing more than 160 and still got whooped. Plus, he didn't bruise him up, Floyd was sick, that's why his nose was bleeding.

what you meant to say is hopkins was beatable when he hit the age of 40 - no suprises there

and taylor's flaw was not that he was "mentally weak"

Hopkins made a name for himself beating smaller great fighters, Hopkins by late stoppage.

Cotto is a natural lefty and stronger than Poochiao and still couldn't knock Floyd out, how is Poochiao supposed to do so, that shot right there hit him flush on the temple and still on his feet. But anyways, again, that shot was on his temple, his nose was already bleeding from being sick.

Bernard, and it would have been comfortable for him.

Floyd was not even fully filled out as a welter prior to facing Oscar.

Hopkins was big, crafty, had great stamina, a tremendous ring IQ, and I don't think he'd have had a major problem making weight at that time.

As good as Floyd as, I think he would have had too much to overcome in terms of size and craftsmanship.

Bernard was getting outboxed by Oscar, who was less skilled than Floyd. And I don't believe BHop would have been able to catch Lil Floyd with the kind of body punch that turned things around in that fight.

Floyd would be on the backfoot for most of the fight, but he would be very difficult for Bernard to hit cleanly and he would potshot the bigger man to a points victory.

There is no way Bernard takes this on points, so his only hope is a KO, always a possibility.

Hopkins would stop him... too big & not too good but good enough that fmj wouldn`t be able to neutralise the size via superior skill.

A great big man will always beat a great little man. People who say floyd DKSAB. Their skill level are not far apart and Hopkins is so much bigger.
