DING DING DING! every other ****ing idiot on here keeps bringing up this 'has trouble with speed' bull****, yet when he beat Pascal (twice) a quick powerful two handed fighter it's because Pascal had bad stamina, apparently the current (at that time) Lineal LHW champion in his prime had worse stamina then a 46 year old Hopkins :patsch

Pascal was clearly beating Hopkins early, but gassed. He struggles with speed and workrate. Got thoroughly beaten by a faster younger Roy. Was getting outboxed by a fat Oscar before the typical B-Flop tactics and the great KO.When he fought Taylor, he struggled with JT's activity, before Jermain does what he does, gas late. Struggled with Calzaghe's workrate and handspeed and resorted to B-Flop tactics of faking a low blow. Struggled with Dawson's fast hands early and quit. Then got thoroughly outboxed in the rematch.

You forgot to add "But with all that said he would beat Floyd's ass".

It really depends on Floyd. If he's committed off the back foot, Bernard's not going to catch him. Baldomir Floyd beats Hopkins or is at least leading. If he comes flat footed, Bernard's dirty inside tactics are going to grind him down fairly quickly.

mis-match. Hopkins at that point wasnt prime but still had more then enough in the tank. Hopkins is too big, couple that with a skill set comparable to mayweather's. this is a fight mayweather wouldn't dare take

Hopkins has every advantage in this fight. Floyd doesn't stand a chance against prime Hopkins due to both size and technical ability. Floyd wont be able to rely on superior technique.

It would be the perfect chess match with one mistake costing the fight. Many have said never to bet against either one of them. It would be decided in the Championship rounds.

Only Floyd was never that fast. Floyd is accurate so he seems fast but he never had the speed or power of a Roy Jones. Honestly he wasn't any faster than DLH.

Ridiculous idea, Hopkins way to big for this to be competetive.

Hopkins trash talk alone in the press conference and his street smart and street cred is going to mentally shook Floyd before the fight even starts.

B-Hop will let Floyd knows what a real man is then come fight night, B-Hop will have the advantage in heigh, reach, size, power etc...

All Floyd has is speed and better defense but how can Floyd even bait and counter B-Hop when B-Hop is a much taller and also great defense that will counter and rough him up on the inside.

    Hopkins via TKO.

Mayweather has not got the power to bother any great middle weight fighters, let alone 154 fighters.

Plus offensively Mayweather is not that gifted.

He can't pot shot against Middle-Weights, maybe if he had Tommy Hearns type power but.? He's one weakness is his power, and offensive ability in my opinion.

Hopkins would bully him, and beat him down badly.

    End his career!

How on earth has Floyd Mayweather got a better defence..? I cannot separate their defence ability.

You sound like you are 12 years old, and Floyd Mayweather is the only fighter you know.

Bernard would have an easy 20lbs on him in the ring.

    And isnt Bernard like 6'1?

Bernard would be too big for him.

The guy went to 175 soon after
