He lost 9 rounds and never had Roy in any sort of trouble. This was a Roy who couldn't fight inside, and Hopkins never took advantage...against a weight drained Jones. lol

Look at what happens when he gets in with active fighters

Throws 10 punches a round and fights extraordinarily negative against Taylor

    Quits against Dawson

Fakes low blows and holds excessively against Calzaghe

Fakes low blows and generally acts like a ***** against a shot Jones.

lol hopkins is way too big. Floyd is midget sized compared to him. On top of that Hopkins would school him.

  4. People who say Floyd are probably small guys who weight like 135 in real life and refuse to admit that when there is no stylistic edge a great big man always beat a great little man.
Let's not act like Floyd is that much more 'skilled' than Hopkins.. they are in the same ball park... the exception being Hopkins is a 6'1 guy who could come in at 170 easily or at the very least 165... Floyd is 5'7 and 148-152... The sheer size difference is too much to over come and once again only napeleon syndrome mother ****ers will think Floyd stand a chance in hell against Hopkins.

This isn't the heavyweights......... at the lower weights... 15-20 pounds given to one skilled fighter over another skilled fighter (of the same elite status) is simply too much to over come.. If you think Floyd can beat Hopkins.. than you are saying Floyd can beat Hagler as well... what about Monzon? Hopkins is bigger than Hagler.. almost as good and knows every single trick Floyd knows.. the exception being that Hopkins will have an additional 15 pounds and 5-6 inches to use in enforcing these dirty tricks....

Why the hell didn't Hagler go up to fight Spinks? Because Hagler is an ATG MW but Spinks is an ATG LHW.. Hagler will get brutalized.... Floyd isn't even an ATG Jr.MW.. he's like an ATG Light weight.... and Hopkins is an ATG MW.. People are delusional as ****.

Hopkins via an absolute embarrassingly demoralizing ass raping that leaves Floyd so loose he won't be able to feel Ellerbe's **** for at least a month.

People underrate Bernard Hopkins speed and athletic ability. This sport called boxing is a physical sport, you can have all the skills in the world but..? if you have not got the right physical skills to transport them technical skills you are ****ed. All this nonsense that Hopkins does not rely on his physically attributes is silly. Bernard Hopkins is a immense athlete, and still now..? close to 50 years, he still has better co-ordination/motor skills and agility than most 175 fighters.

Floyd is much much much smarter than B-Hop.B-hop is as crafty as they come and well versed in boxing literature. But Floyd was quotin the scripture straight out of the womb, all before he ever saw the book.Just because B-hop is smarter than 90 percent of fighters doesn't mean that he is smarter than the top 1 percent of fighters. Also much of B-hop's smarts is manifested in his craftiness.A craftiness made necessary by the fact that while B-hop may have been a good athlete,he was not a supreme athlete.

A low punch output fight?B-hop has always been know for his low output in the punching department.Mayweather too has been known to not throw as many punches as his contemporaries, past or present. However, the difference between these two fighters is night and day in the punch output department.B-hop makes Mayweather look like an offensive juggernaut.B-hop uses his jab much more and is completely content with landing unmeaningful punches and partially blocked punches and even dirty punches.Mayweather on the other hand rarely ever uses a jab.Mayweather relies almost exclusively on power shots(!) and yet he smokes B-hop in compubox numbers.

Defense.Let's skip the talk of wizadry and go somewhere else.B-hops defense is cunning and smooth, but ultimately unaggressive.Mayweather's defense on the other hand is brilliant, sharp and very aggressive.Mayweather almost never walks a guy down when in offense mode,he always does it in defense mode.He walks guys down out of the "high guard",which as it's name implies,is a defensive posture. He also walks guys down while in the philly shell/shoulder roll.He usually does a short/medium/long step or short/medium/long hop, while in the shoulder roll/philly shell. The high guard and the philly shell/shoulder roll are unmistakeably defensive postures and walking a guy down is unmistakeably one of the most aggressive things you can do in a fight.Mayweather's defense is simply more aggressive than B-hops.It's also more diverse.

Ability to adjust.B-hop is good but this isnt even close is it?

At the end of the day the only thing B-hop got goin for him is size and strength. But would he fight like a mad man or "smart" "great boxer" Bernard Hopkins.Smart, great boxer Bernard Hopkins takes a loss everytime.A crazy and savage B-hop
might win 4 out of 10.Size matters and while B-hop is great,if he's beatin Mayweather it has more to do with size(weight) than skill.
