no, its the fact everyone of his middleweight title fights which i just laid out in black and white didnt have any worthy wins before or after fighting hopkins.... please defend robert allen trilogy, or carl the squirell daniels...or his IBF 160 pound fight against william bo james or steve frank? do i need to go through list against? hell toney fought michael nunn, james toney, reggie johnson and mike mccallum 2 times and former light heavyweight champion prince charles williams, former WBO champ Doug DeWitt and Iran Barkley all within 2 years.....all champions or former champions... thats 8 former or current champs toney fought in "2" years....over Hopkins garbage opponents....i didnt count one former welterweight among those 8 champions....:rofl:rofl:rofl

Exactly. And Haglar is considered by most at least a top 3 middleweight. Any fighter's record can be broken down including the great Sugar Ray Robinson. Fact is though....Hopkins has had some of the biggest wins this last decade...and yes you do get points for longevity and number of title defenses. Especially in a historically prestigous division like middleweight. Guys like Joe Louis, Larry Holmes didn't have great opponents but are still considered legends.

its amazing that if you know anything about boxing, that hopkins defended an IBF version of the title against absolute ****. how does he win all the major titles available? he defended it for 7 years...yes great...but the best in the division along with him held the WBA and WBC titles during those 7 years.
and even the WBO if you are counting that.
but instead of fighting thoose guys, he was feasting on robert allen 3 times and welterweights simon brown who was damn near his 60th fight...carl daniels? come on man.... toney fought 6 chamions or former champions in a period of 2 YEARS and 2 more the next 2 years. nunn, barkey, mccallum twice, prince charles williams, doug dewitt, roy jones, reggie johnson.
and calzaghe fought horrible comp too, im glad you idiots deem me a fan of his because i point out how bad Bhops middleweight reign was...:rofl:patsch

ive seen all the fights...when they were live...not youtubed them like 90% of you dicks.... you guys are box rec warriors and see a guy who made 20 consecutive title defenses and think hes god...i simply took a close look at the guys he beat...and it has opned up alot of peoples eyes people most all were undeserving....or blown up welterweights, or junior middles....

Look at James Toney's era, from 1990 - 1992 you had Middleweights like Julian Jackson, Reggie Johnson, Roy Jones, McCullum, G-Man, Benn, Eubank, Collins, Watson, Micheal Nunn.

Then look at BHops era, from 1995 - 2005 you had Middleweights

whom he didnt fight: Quincy Taylor, Otis Grant, Hacine Cherifi, Rodney Jones, Sturm, Sylvester

whom he did fight: Joppy, Holmes, Lipsey, Echols, Council, Vanderpool, Allen, Eastman, Trinidad,

It was a far weaker division, but nonetheless he more or less cleared it out. James Toney's period looks far more competitive.

I understand the angle you are viewing Hopkins MW reign from, but look at the fighters he could have fought it wouldnt have vastly improved his reign any bit

****inhell, that list of opponents stink of ****.

theres only 2 good middleweights on there and he lost to them both.

I have to agree also. I like Hopkins but also his reign is a bit overrated. The G Johnson he beat at the time hadnt fought anyone of real note and then lost his next 2 fights.

He was saying that in jest, to show how you could tear apart a person's resume.
