If that was the case every athlete hitting 45+ would compete at the highest level.

Absolutely not. There are simply certain types of fighter that Hopkins can still beat at his age using his guile and experience. PEDs are not going to improve his ringcraft and ability to dictate the pace of the fight and make his opponent fight his style of fight rather than their own. He couldn't bend Dawson to his will - who I think beats Hopkins ten times out of ten - but he'll beat Pascal or Cloud every time.
Any kind of drug that would increase training intensity would be risky for someone of Bernard's age, his body is already more prone to injuries after a lifetime of training, so the key for him is to train smarter and not harder.
On another note, I'd like to see him face Cleverley next who I think he can befuddle and confuse as he did Pascal and Cloud although I worry slightly that Clev may just be too young and too strong...

Bull**** he struggled to make middle and looked better when he fought Calzaghe. IMO it is very likely he is on stuff but so are all the young guys these days.

Anything is possible but I believe Nard is all natural. Even if he was on something to be able to operate at this level at 48 is still ****ing incredible. But Nard is known to be very into not polluting his body in almost any way. No drinking....smoking....drugs....prescription, over the counter or illegal.

He views his body as a temple. So I believe the guy but you never know for sure. I see Floyd and PAC in the same light because they are the kinds of fighters who stay in shape outside of camp...most fighters do not and might need a little extra to help them expedite getting into fighting condition for fights.

Everyone keeps saying no but I have never seen B Hop take a test in any of his fights. Pascal was calling him out about taking the tests...He has never been insistent on subjecting himself to random testing. Remember this guy was a convicted criminal/felon, hes no saint so it wouldnt surprise me if he is taking PED's...I mean the guy is almost 50

But between Floyd, B Hop & Pac.....Floyd is the only one WILLING to test himself and his opponents.

Actually.....PAC did agree to be tested if Floyd stepped up....but of course that never happened. Manny could go out of his way to do random testing now as could Nard but since it's not mandated I don't believe it's a must. It couldn't hurt, but they've passed all their tests and there hasn't been any reason to question their integrity.

I stated this in a previous thread, but I'll reiterate. You don't understand boxing.

    Also, KTFO6

    Deal with it.

Is it possible, sure. Do I believe so, not judging from his performances. Is his stance against extra testing suspicious, yes.

people like you who talk a lot but actually have nothing to say are better of staying quiet when it is such a dangerous subject as potentially maligning an all time great in his greatest hour.

First thing there are heavy steroid users who are fat and out of shape, and some who are skinny as fucck (think cyclists like lance armstrong) than there is the muscular ripped stereotype.
As someone who has taken steroids and PEDS for 5 years beleive me i speak from only experience and what i have seen the facts.

If Hopkins is taking something other than steroids as u so eloquently put it .....so what as long as its not HGH or the like??? its no secret Hopkins doesnt smoke or drink or fornicate and is deeply religious like other aged succesful fighters like randy couture to name but 1. Also the little ESPN vignette a couple of years ago of Hopkins in his kitchen after a morning run tells u the man eats 100% for nutrition he was cooking a egg white ommelete and downing it with a huge zero carb strawberry protein shake. PLus Hopkins has Mackie Shilstone as a nutritionist and adviser on supplements so the man is doing the absolute best within the right side of the law.

and for your information PEDS and steroids could make a 48 year old man look like superman. You obviously dont follow the bodybuilding scene, most mr olympia contests these days are well into their 40s.
