Why would'nt that be helping Hopkins?

Hopkins has been fighting all his life. He's known to be a gym rat.
Fighters at the elite level put their bodies through extreme strenuous physical workouts. Workouts that take its toll on the bones and tendons on the body.

Even most non-proffessionals who put themselves through a consistent grind of physical exesize throughout the years, feel the effects of the grind their bodies have been through.
The wear and tear on a proffesional's physical body is much severe.
I would have thought Hopkins body would be worn and physically abused through the years of physical stress he puts on it to get ready for a fight, that it would be painful and he'd have trouble keeping up with the physical exersizes he must do to perform at a high level.
His body does'nt seem to have suffered much and he's still quicker and faster than most of the lightheavyweight conternders out there.

I dont see where PED's would not help an aging fighter hang on for a few if not several more years.

PED's is not all about a chiseled body.

Bernard Hopkins didn't look improved. He looked worse than ever. It's just even the worst Bernard Hopkins is good enough to be Cloud. He looked way better against Pascal.

Why? Because he wins? He looked terrible against Cloud. Slower than ever, not good footwork or balance like usual either but his defense and reflexes were just good enough to win against Cloud. Cloud was no Pavlik or Dawson though.

His appearance sure doesn't support it. Doesn't have any great power and strength. Great skills.

Yeah because he's so fast, powerful and busy. It's not efficient movement and skills he uses to win is it.
Seriously ESB can **** right off sometimes.

The top fighters in boxing ( any weight division ) are juicing. A guy nearing fifty years of age still boxing and winning vs guys half his age smells a bit fishy to me. Other guys with mountain ranges of pimples all over their backs also don't pass the smell test and of course there's still the old fashioned blood doping which is effective and difficult to detect.

Hopkins officially gained 14 lbs of solid muscle. He was rock solid stepping in against Antonio Tarver.

    "Is it possible"

    Absolutely yes it is possible.

Anyone who votes that "no it is not possible" is in complete denial over contemporary sporting.

The question isn't "is he" it's "is it possible."

You can`t totally defeat the aging process, but PEDs can combat it. That is how it would aid an older fighter, by giving him the hormonal levels he had (and above in most cases) when he was younger, and thus helping his work capacity, the ability to train hard like when he was younger without feeling the wear and tear, and recovering much quicker than his aged body and hormone levels would allow him without PEDs. Absolutely they can help an old guy. Training and performing is more difficult as you age.....you have to modify your approach, especially at Nards age, to get more benefit with likely less intensity, because over training is easy for a man his age. He is more economical and smarter without a doubt, and his ability can`t be questioned, and he deserves all the credit in the world. Can`t rule out PEDs though. It would be willful ignorance.

    PED's, not just anabolic steroids.

You don't think Hopkins would benefit from extra production of red blood cells to improve oxygen flow and overall energy? Are you saying that having such further physical advantages would not help Hopkins despite a plethora of athletes across all sports using PED's for no other reason than to boost their performance?
