We know Bernard Hopkins went up to Light Heavyweight towards the twilight of his career but what if he started at 175lbs instead of 160lbs (Middleweight)? Who would he have come across? Would he taste defeat more often? Would he unify or become Undisputed at some point even? Would he be an ATG?

So evreything stays the same but Hopkins campaigns at Light Heavy. How does his career pan out? :)

Man, the great Roy Jones junior has enhanced ring intelligence: he went to foresee in the mental what would happen to Hopkins if he dropped down to middle weight after his loss to Clinton Mitchell: Roy said, at middle nobody could beat Hopkins (except for Roy himself) and that he would beat the "Trinidad's and de la Hoyas of the world " man, spot on.

What surprised me is that bhop didn't venture to cruiser or hw ttytt. Hopkins was a surley guy, with a twinge of paranoia and a shrewd demeanor. When he used to fight in jail, he was getting props from stone cold killers / convicts. When he got out he went legit, no more life of a crimey, simply menial jobs until he became a somebody in boxing.

Back in jail, his jail trainer was still locked up while Bernard was a free man. Bernard used to run that track in the jail like a hamster! One time in the far future Bernard was on Friday night fights with Marvin Hagler his idol. Marvin stated that Bernard had subpar footwork. Anyway Roy rubbed it in that "his favorite fighter told him he had crappy footwork lol " to Bernard, the feud with Roy was not over... "Roy, who I am? Who I am?!"

The story of Bernard Hopkins is almost as good as the story he tells it about Bernard Hopkins. Going back to jails to speak as a motivator, he later in his career became "the alien" because he was too dang old, unreal to be fighting at that age.

The humanistic side of Hopkins gets left out, he helped the once incarcerated Dewey bozella become a pro heavyweight with the help of team Hopkins gym from Philly. Bernard states "me and dewey both went to jail except I was guilty while Dewey was not". A very nice thing to do I must add.

When Hopkins was younger he fought with more aggressiveness, as he got older he learned to pace himself and slow down the fight. But whatever you wanna say about him, he did it his way, just like the song "I did it MY way" by Frank Sinatra. Bernard is the oldest man in boxing to hold a world title and he was supernatural. Boxing wouldn't be the same without the executioner, and also known as X. X- man the alien.

he did, in fact - & lost.

When he made his late career move up to 175, he hired Mackie Shilstone to help him bulk up in weight. If he'd simply remained @LHW after starting his career, he wouldn't have been in top shape.
