Felix Trinidad was a campaigning middleweight champion who had just destroyed William Joppy, big difference in Golovkin bringing up a Welterweight much less established than either Trinidad or DLH and grant Brooks a chance at the middleweight title when Brooks hasn't fought anyone north of the welterweight division.

1. Brook is not an established star in boxing.

2. Brooks hasn't fought anyone past welterweight

3. Erislandy Lara has been calling Golovkin out and GGG fans keep saying Lara should get in line and work his way up the ladder by fighting middleweights before getting a shot.
......and they are ok with Brook being picked as an opponent?

 

I would say the amount of people that are fully OK with it are in the single figures. Holding the opinion that it isn't as bad as some are making out doesn't automatically mean you think the fight is Ok (I would put myself in this bracket).

 

1. Brook is a HUGE star in the UK where GGG is fighting him.
2.Brook has fought at 155 before.
3. Lara's manager just exposed him in a recent interview done by thaboxingvoice. Lara's team never formally reached out to ggg's but GGG JUST REACHED OUT TO LARA, to see if they could potentially fight after kell brook. Lara's manager came up with a million excuses and said they expect multi millions to fight ggg after they made 1 mil fighting canelo.
