The win over De La Hoya was no better than one of his mediocre title defenses over the likes of Eastman and Echols.

Trinidad, Tarver, and Pavlik were his best wins.

Glen was also a good win.

Which is why I didn't list most of them. Echols was a better win than DLH. The DLH/Hopkins fight smelled a little too shady for my tastes, in more ways than one.

Glen is an overrated win, he would fall under the category of " name win ". Glen was nothing what he would turn into years to come.

  6. NOTHING shady about that:nutit was a clean body shot KO:deal...
btw Hops was the 1st guy to stop ODH..

Hopkins' has the luxury of fighting good opposition when he was almost 40 - which means he was in a win win situation. If he lost to Tarver, Winky, Pavlik, nobody would have taken that against him just like when he lost to Calzaghe.

But during his prime, Hopkins has been a real ***** when it comes to making big fights happen. I have listed countless times the guys who graced the 160 to 175 division during early 90s to 2000 that Hopkins could have fought but didn't. Just look at his resume at before he moved up to 175..:patsch

Good thing he lost to Taylor and has to move up to 175, otherwise we would have seen Hopkins-Allen 10 already.

Followed closely by his underrated win over Winky. Those four, in that order.

    :good
