Good interview with Joe Rogan, Hopkins confirms that Loma was robbed and discusses the dark side and corruption in boxing which details why the judges scored it for Haney even though he clearly lost the fight.

What Hopkins is saying makes sense they wanted 35 year old Loma out of the picture

Look at the first & second GGG/Canelo fight.

That first fight changed GGG's career. Canelo was the draw, with the big fanbase, who can make big money for ABC organizations, promoters and sites. Who is GGG? The guy they were going to rob in daylight, so that the cash cow can keep making money for everyone.

I don't need Hopkins to affirm what anyone with an unbiased pair of eyes already knew.

Loma deserved a 115-113 nod and his rightful place in boxing history for unifying at 135lbs against a younger, bigger opponent. Instead, the more marketable guy long-term won. The more things change in boxing, the more things stay the same.

Hopkins is just saying that because of joe's fanbase. I was going for loma but it was clear as day 115 - 113 haney. Close fight, haney wanted it more in that last round. There's nothing to be ashamed of, lomachenko was 35, way out of his natural weight class, multiple surgeries to shoulder and arm and still gave an elite young fighter a HELL of a fight.

Not sure that Haney is more marketable long-term. Loma has a style of his own and I see him standing up better against the likes of Stevenson and Tank. A lot of judges nowadays are absolute cowards without an opinion. Faceless business interests shaping the future of boxing.

As I remember, you had Loma easily winning the fight against Teofimo (a fight he legitimately lost), claimed Fulton was gonna clown Inoue & then when the reverse happened, proceeded to post drivel in some other thread about how all the weight classes below 126 should be abolished because they have no talent (ya that Wilfredo Gomez guy was really talentless...)

I wouldn't put too much weight on your opinions on anything when you scored the first 3 rounds for Loma against Teo

Even the most die hard Loma fans wouldn't have it 3-0 Loma going into the 4th for that fight

YDKSAB, go get your eyes checked or learn how to score a fight

I lean Loma in that fight but it could go either way. Hopkins should have picked a more obvious robbery to make his point. Romero/Barroso was clear cut corruption.

Close fights aren’t robberies. I had Haney by a round. Either way it went no argument.
