After The Executioner disposes of Adamek for the CW title, he should move up once again to take another title. Yep, the heavy weight title and I'm not talking about fighting paper champ Valueless for the WBA.

B-hop should make Wladimir his target for one last battle. Of course the cynics will dismiss this notion immediately because Wladimir "is too big". You may not realize it, but Bernard can use this to his advantage, not a disadvantage.

Case-in-point: Remember the Wlad/Ibragimov fight in NY that probably put most of us to sleep as Wladimir was content to jab his opponent to death when the fight should have never went the distance? After the fight, Wlad's trainer Emmanuel Steward was asked why Wlad did not KO Ibragimov. Wlad told him that he did not want to lean over to the degree he needed to hit Ibragimov with solid shots, meaning the right hand. He did not want to take the risk of getting caught on his shaky chin by his much shorter opponent.

So could Wladimir get away with the same strategy against Bernard Hopkins? No, it would not work. Bernard who we all know is a defensive master, is most effective at eliminating his opponents best offensive weapon. Wladimir would rely on the jab, and Bernard would see it coming a mile away, then utilize his superior speed to pot shot Wlad with his expert counter-punching for 12 rounds and a UD.

Wladimir has not gassed-out for awhile, like in previous fights where he got either KO'd or knocked down, but he might be in danger of this because he will be facing a more elusive opponent than he has ever fought. He usually gets to fight at his pace and uses a lot of clinching. Bernard would be too quick for Wlad to try his usual clinching tactics.

Wladimir would need to be more aggressive, rather than fight scared like usual, but he won't do it. It's mental with him. He is too worried about getting stopped again, even against a smaller opponent. With added muscle, a 200 pound or so B-hop could do the job.

Wlad would be like a deer frozen in the head-lights trying to figure out the crafty old veteran. He already thinks too much rather than just fighting at times like he should against his usual sub-par competition. He'd be completely lost in the ring. Bernard only fights better when the odds are against him. Don't count out the man's determination.:smoke

Let the Klitite dissaproval and objection begin. I am 100% serious.

Vlad by a very serious knockout. Nobody would take such a fight seriously. Hopkins would get seriously hurt.

I've heard that tired old line before. First it was Pavlik, now it will be Adamek, but it won't happen, ever!

Hell, why not.. I guess if anyone can figure out how to get past the robot's jab, it's Hopkins. I'd buy the PPV. I probably wouldn't put much money on it, but I bet the Vegas odds would make it a good bet. :)

Exactly. It's a robot jab and that's all B-hop would have to worry about.

I'd give Bernard a shot at it tbh.

lol...keep dreaming klitschko haters...wlad is no ruiz. he's very quick and elusive for a man his size and hits as hard as anyone in boxing. hopkins best punch is his lead right hand and wlad would never be in position for him to land it. Wlad's jab blinds hopkins then comes over the top with the right hand and it'll be over.

this fight would never happen though. wlad wouldn't be interested and hopkins isn't suicidal. i expect hopkins to just outpoint adamek though.

Guys...B-hop is not going to be as effective at cruiserweight...with the added 20 pounds, there is no way he will be able to fight all 3 minutes of every round.

At 44 years old, he wouldn't be able to beat Lucian Bute at 168.

Did you wet your pants writing this fanciful dream? Let's see him get past Adamek first.
