Hopkins has built his record on smaller guys. Only Tarver was a big guy but he had problems to go down in weight at that time. Nothing suggests Hopkins will deal good with fighters of his size.

i think hopkins at 185 could beat adamek.

physically there would not be much difference and i like hopkins to win that fight on points.

hopkins v wlad, hopkins is in a fight he can make zero mistakes at all.

the puches from wlad would not have to be clean to hurt him, in the clinch he can be picked up and manhandled at will and on the outside wlads huge height advantage and the fact he jabs so much will keep hopkins occupied to much to think about much offense.

hopkins could and would beat a light heavy version of wlad, but hopkins as a heavy would have to think much more about what was coming his way and would find it very hard to slip enough to get on the inside to land his own punches.

would hopkins be prepared to take chances to land his punches/his history of the last 5 years suggests not.

Well lets see, hopkins would run for about four or five rounds, an finally wlad power would slow him down, that is once wlad lands his right cross the fight would be over,,,,,,,maybe this guy didn't see the calazghe fight, hopkins was running for dare life an faked a low blow to posslble save himself from being stopped,,,an wlad does not have hand problems.....

Before Pavlik, it was Slapmaster and it did happen.

Didnt follow boxing when Jermaine Taylor beat him, was he expected to beat Hopkins?

You are the same people who said Pacquiao would get destroyed by Oscar. That Ruiz would destroy Roy. That Toney would get destroyed at heavyweight. That Hatton woudl murder Pacquiao and that the fight would never happen. You all laughed and ridiculed anyone who believed the impossible and then impossible happened.

The thing is, i have learned not to underestimate anyone in this sport. Especially Bernard Hopkins.

Yes Wlad would be a big favourite but you just never know whats going to happen in this sport.

I'm always one to try and make a case for the underdog and don't like using absolutes, but I feel entirely comfortable in saying that, short of Zeus sticking a lightning bolt up his ass and turning Hopkins into a demi god for an hour, there is absolutely no way Hops wins that fight.

if bernard could somehow get past his jab and left hook, pin him on the ropes and headbutt/right elbow cross him to death, yeah, maybe he could win.

your whole strategy relies on wlad fighting scared and trying to overly protect his chin against a man who offers absolutely nothing in the way of a ko threat at heavy. there is not a snowballs chance in hell of hopkins hurting wlad, never mind stopping him. this is a fight where wlad can go out and not worry about his opponents fire power because, well he has none.

The only person on the interent who gave Roy a shot at Ruiz was REED.

Anyone who dared mention that Roy had a hope in hell of beating Ruiz was ridiculed BIG TIME!

There was NO WAY a former flyweight could stop De La Hoya either was there?

Shane was going to get stopped for the first time against the bigger, relentless and iron chinned Margarito too.

There was no way Shane could win let alone KO Margarito.

I'm never writng off no ****er again.

I don't care if Hopkins fights King Kong.
