he's not an exciting fighter as a rule but heø's a very smart fighter.

people like to get on the bandwagon of exciting boxers but anyone who wants to discredit hopkins for not being 'exciting' isn't appreciating his excellent boxing skills.

Hard to say, he can stink the place out with the best of them, but his skills and some of the masterclasses he puts on are great to watch, so thats exciting.

he's definitely exciting, but in his last 3 fights he hasn't been.
    but before that, he was.

Those fans that know boxing from a technical point of view and not just two people beating crap out of each other won't find Hopkins's fights boring.

boring, he kept faking low blows and holding in the calzaghe fight which if he did not do that hopkins would of got ktfo.

From the technical and tactical standpoint, there are few fighters, if any, that I prefer to watch.

He is Inconsistent, I loved watching him beat Trinidad, Tarver and Pavlik but his fight's against Taylor and Calzaghe were poor imo, Still love Hopkins though, bring on Dawson!

That fight just gave a very bad impression of him to the British public.I think thats the big problem, for the majority of them have never heard of him or seen him fight. Then he goes through his resume' of dirty tricks which just allienates people,if we'd all seen him fight like he did against Pavlik he would have gained many more fans over here who weren't boxing followers.I don't think the white boy jibe helped either but I understand he's achieved alot in the sport so thats just my opinion

I can understand how some people might find him boring, but to me he just adapts to what's in front of him. i like watching the subtleties and skill he brings into the ring -
I find that exciting to watch.
