Here are ten guys off the top of my head whose resumes are much better than Floyd's:

    Hagler
    Greb
    Robinson
    Armstrong
    Duran
    Leonard
    Gans
    Langford
    Ali
    Charles

Hopkins is a member of Golden Boy Promotions, and he's promoting one of his products: Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

They will say and do anything just to promote mayweather's next fights. The true comments on fmj's legacy will come when he retires. boxing is business.

Absolute bollocks! How are new guys better? Would Canelo beat Gavilan? Would Hopkins beat Ezzard Charles? What do they do better? How people spout this bile is beyond me.

There are great fighters in every era and Floyd is one of them. So was Barrera. But to claim they are fitter or better or doing something in a superior way is hogwash, mate.

Hold on...if it's all about who you fight (quality over quantity) then how can you justify having Mayweather over Ray Leonard? Mayweather is a great fighter, but he has nothing on his record that stands up to the combination of wins over Hearns, Duran, Benitez and Hagler. Going by your argument, you can't have him over Ali either, who has wins over Frazier, Liston and Foreman.

Let's start with a very simple question. On what basis would you rate Floyd over SRL or Ali? Certainly not based on comp because both of their competition are miles ahead of Mayweather's.

To me, FLoyd is outside of the top 10 and could potentially get into the top 10 if he fights a legit middle weight and beats him. (no catch weight crap either)

    Bang on!

    This nonsense has to stop!

Floyd is one of the greatest.

But he hasn't got a win over an ATG in their prime.

How the hell can he be higher than SRL?

    What a joke!
