You're entitled to your opinion mate, but I think this is ridiculous.

With regards to Hearns, Floyd feared Manny, and would only fight Canelo at a catchweight.

Floyd wouldn't have fought Tommy for a $100m!

Tommy was a great boxer, with a great jab, and a right hand that could knock you dead.

    How could Floyd have won?

Leonard was as fast as Floyd, as skilful, taller, bigger, and he had more fire power.

Leonard tried to box Hearns, and he couldn't.

He had to fight him to win.

Nobody could outbox Hearns at 147, and Floyd very rarely fights.

    Hearns was 6'1, with a 79" reach.

He would have had a 5" height advantage, and a 6" reach advantage over Floyd.

Then there's the ridiculous advantage in power.

    Floyd couldn't have outboxed him.

Can you really envisage Floyd, in a shoot out against Tommy Hearns?

One thing that gets me is, duran gets hyped up to be some kinda beast.. end of the day he had a great career but when you look at his resume, everytime he stepped up to the highest level he lost..

lost to SRL, hearns, hagler, benitez & more.. now don't get me wrong, i know he started at lightweight, but still he lost.

All you can say is floyd's dominated his era but he misses the pacquiao win.. if he had that we'd defo be saying he's an ATG, without it there'l always be question marks.

You said it yourself, he was peak at 135.

He also beat Leonard, and then took one of the greatest MW's all the way.

If Floyd had've been around in the 80's, we could well be sat here now, discussing how great he was, but how he lost to Hearns and Leonard etc.

Yes, when Floyd beat Guerrero, and then Canelo, I naturally thought that he was one of the top three fighters of all time.

Then how come Mayweather isn't given props due to the fact he's past his peak at 130lb?

Dempsey and Marciano is just plain stupid.

He surpassed their careers sometime around 2005-2006.

    Are you punch drunk?

Marciano belongs NOWHERE near a top 10 ATG list and he certainly doesn't rank ahead of Mayweather...

    Mayweather peaked at 135-140.

@ 140, Floyd was an absolute beast - which is exactly why all the big names in the division [Tszyu, Hatton, Cotto] wanted nothing to do with him...

because he isnt a mayweather fan. duran fighting at MW had nothing to do with him wanting to be the GOAT it had to do with duran being a fat **** during his times off and once he got famous

Ill just say this....Floyd's peak was 140......but yet he consitently gets placed in fantasy fights against natural Welters who all went up to Middle or arround Middle......and they are ATG's....that alone tells you something.

His peak 135-140....the list is EXTREMELY small at who beats this man...i dont care what generation

There is no argument for Marciano unless you think Heavyweights in general are way more significant somehow.

(I love Marciano, it just is what it is.)

No he didn't. His absolute best was at super featherweight, where he is likely the GOAT in the divisions history.

2003-2005 are the biggest waste of 3 years in his career.

While both Castillo fights and Gatti are underrated, he wasted a lot of time in those two divisions. Sosa, Ndou, Corley, and Bruseles consecutively over 2+ years is not good for any P4P top 10 and honestly that alone discounts any claims of 135 or 140 being his "peak." You can talk about your opinion of his skills at that time all you want but in the end it is about what boxers accomplished.
