I agree with BHOP, I've always said that Floyd was overrated at the higher weights(140-147) mainly because he hasn't fought any prime elite fighter there.
But Floyd did proved himself at the lower weights against very good opposition.

I don't think we're ever going to see that. PBF needs to get his ass back to 140, where I think he WILL face the best, but imho he's not a true WW and he knows it. A BIG ww, even someone like Cintron, would probably just be too strong and durable for him.

Not facing the top WWs is a valid argument.

Not needing to come back from your back against the wall to win isn't. Losing some bouts because of your lack of ability to adapt to real adversity is different than fighting well enough to the point where you're usually ahead in the fight and not all busted up.

Besides, he's fought with some injuries, bloody nose, a cut, etc..

So what prime elite fighter didn't Floyd face at WW?

    Tony was never elite.

Shane was at 154 getting his ass handed to him.

    Cotto isn't elite..Marge proved that.

It's not Floyd's fault they suck.

    It's not valid at all.

When Floyd fought the #1 and #2 WWs in the world...Baldomir and Judah.

Tony was fighting unranked lightweight Manuel Gomez..

Shane was at 154 getting his ass whipped..

Cotto was fighting Malinaggi at 140..

Paul Williams was fighting the dreaded Santos Pakau.

NONE of those guys were the top WWs:deal:deal:deal

I thought Floyd's fight with Augustus was a hella fight, although Floyd was pretty much winning every round.
