I don't believe it because I have heard Merchant talk down on Hopkins too many times.

 

Merchant's a pile a ****, plain-and-simple!

 

They've quibbled for years, but Merchant gives Hopkins respect when it's due (which he has recently). Merchant was just being dramatic and the whole exchange was pretty funny. I remember that fight and it was atrocious. One of the most boring fights of recent memory.

Never saw that before. Merchant is more of a dick than I thought. It was clear Hopkins agreed with him in terms of the quality of opponent, telling him it was a mandatory (as in, the problem was with the sanctioning bodies) but Merchant kept making it B-Hop's problem???????
