"The blueprint to beat Roy is there he cant handle pressure,He gasses after 5-6 rounds lays on the ropes and his footspeed isnt what it was so hes not going to be able to stay outside for 12 rounds i will walk him down and knock him out i said after the Pavlik fight i want to deliver knockouts at this point in my career and give the fans exciting fights and thats what i will do against Roy Jones"
:roflatsch Hopkins is going to shatter Roy's fragile Glass Jaw. Jones simply can't take a punch. At all.
Hopkins is talking a big game for this fight. I was not interested in it at all and after watching his interview on ESPN.com, I have decided to tune in. What can I say, Hopkins was the first fighter that I was a really hardcore fan of. I've started to lose interest recently but I gotta say, he is still the man.
What Hopkins means is he will come foward and throw as much as his 40 year old+ body will allow him to and wrestle with Roy inside so he looks like he is doing something
Hopkins may be able to KO Roy. I think he'll be a bit more reckless to make Roy suffer. And I don't think Roy has much to work with. Maybe a few flashes, maybe a few rounds will go to him, but Hopkins is going to dominate him.
Good point. Given that after the Pavlik fight he said he was going to produce KOs from now on, and was chasing a rematch with Calzaghe, then put in the performance he did vs Ornelas, I wonder just how a rematch with Calzaghe would have gone? I think it would have been a more convincing win for Calzaghe second time around.
I dont mind Hopkins but this fight with Jones is a joke, he needs to fight young guns now not shot fighters
Given that Roy always backs himself into the ropes...I could see Hopkins walking him down...Jones sure as hell isnt going to engage.
