Yeah, there's really nothing more tired and pathetic on ESB than the desperate Hopkins fans who can accept that Calzaghe beat him, and beat him clearly (and would have beaten him even more clearly if Hopkins hadn't feigned a couple of low blows out of desperation). Hopkins fans: get over it. He lost and you just look sad and pathetic by continuing to claim otherwise.

I am one Hopkins fans who can conceive defeat. I mean you have to be pretty biased to give the fight to Hopkins. It wasn't pretty but Calzaghe simply outworked Hopkins. Hopkins did limit Calzaghe's output but he just didn't do enough.

Nah, BHOP would lose, remember he lost 2 times against Taylor in 2004. This older version of BHOP would not be able to keep up with these guys. I only would favor him against
    AA and Froch.

It would be cool but I doubt that Hopkins wants to fight three more fights. Hopkins could win another title he has never won before if he did go down in weight. Another thing that could happen is he could finally find out who Kessler is.

Exactly. And I'm a big Hopkins fan too. He's 43 years old or whatever. The guy is amazing, an ATG. He took Pavlik to school like I've never seen a pfp fighter schooled before. But he lost to Calzaghe. There's no shame in that.

I think we can say without a doubt he would school Froch worse than he schooled Pavlik.

He'd beat him like he was his long-lost daddy from Philadelphia. It would be a clinic in counter-punching, footwork and defensive skills.

Calzaghe beat Hopkins clearly!!!!??? CLEARLY!!?? sorry,no one has neva defeated Bernard Clearly or convincly, theres nothin clear about a split-Decision,I personally felt Bernard won due 2 his harder and much more effective punches,Calzaghe slaps were not effective at and werent even landing in my eye

As stated above: pathetic. Calzaghe clearly won on points, and deserved a UD. If Calzaghe was slapping, why didn't Bernard simply walk through the 'slaps' and knock Calzaghe out? Answer: because he ****ing couldn't. He lost.

I am of the opinion that hop shouldnt fight again
or if he does, then one more fight
he is a legend and I know boxing fans, myself included , dont really find joy in ali-holms, louis-marciano etc type fights, and at b hops age, him getting old overnight is ALWAYS a concern of mine as a fan

Roy Jones beat Hopkins convincingly with a broken hand. Taylor won the first fight fair and square, Hopkins rallied too late, he just didn't win enough rounds. Calzaghe could utterly exhausted Hopkins with his pace in the second half of the fight, Hopkisn needed to fake low blows and didn't find his corner four times, he landed like 10 - 15 punche a round...nit a good fight by Joe, but a clear win.

I respect Hopkins greatly, no need to deny his very real losses in a great career.
