i dont know why people hate on bernard so much. sure he s had his whingy moments, but that string of fights (including the taylor fights), against pavlik, Wright, calzaghe, at his age was respectable to say the least- he may not have won them all- but he made a strong case for himself in all of them. and at his age- is still at the top - a true all time great. had he been flashier- and more impressive younger, or whatever the knock on him is- he d be considered a top 20 fighter- based off of his resume. watching him - of course- roy jones and toney- were more talented and therefore more beloved and emulated, less criticised, but ****- the man dosent make it easy for the other guy- never just turns up , trains like a mofo, looks after his body, is never fat. a true pros pro.

if he fights a ward or a dirrell, or a martinez and wins???? **** the man deserves even more kudos. the thing is- he wouldnt be a big underdog in those fights- which, at 47- almost FIFTY!!! tells you all you need to know about hte man.
