Bernard Hopkins is a better fighter than Roy Jones

like u said, join dates dont mean a thing. but ive been posting good things about hopkins and jones for a while. im not agianst hopkins at all, but i call it how i see it.

i appreciate his style now i mean the way he can keep up with the young dogs is amazing you can expect a 44 yr old man to fight like he could 10 years ago but i still think prime roy could beat prime bhop like i said bhop is a class A fighter but roy i think was that much better we shall agree to disagree

 

What the hell does a join date have to do with anything? Read his posts and judge from that. If Eddie Futch started posting on this site tomorrow would he be a boxing noob because he just started his account here? C'mon. The threadstarter's lack of knowledge has nothing to do with his join date, it has to do with the fact that he simply hasn't done the research.

i only made that comment cause he said I just joined in his first reply. Im just pointing out how ridiculous that is, especially seeing as how he joine a month or two ago. How many times you post has nothing to do with your dedication to or knowledge of the sport.

But I stereotyped you because I see many newbies getting on this site and their first thread is something like "PACMAN is GOAT or Margo is the best Mexican fighter ever." From a pure athleticism standpoint...Roy is LEAGUES ahead of Bernard.

But are people really even attempting to make an arguement that prime for prime he was a better BOXER than Bernard???

prime for prime roys marginally better but roys fight game was built more on his natural talents and athleticism than was bernards and bernard adapted better to survive in the fight game in my opinion bernard had the more solid boxing foundations

 

i agree, hopkins adapts and survives better than anyone I've ever seen.

hes a freak on nature fighting successfully at 44 i thought winky was gonna win by a decent UD but he proved me wrong i thought tarver was gonna hang b-hops head on his fireplace
