I give props to Bernard for not letting his ego get in the way and being honest. in one of the interviews before Winky fight he was asked about his chances against mma guys Theyd whoop my ass, all of them. Their worst guy would whoop my ass. Dont get me wrong, Id try, but I havent fought like that since prison or when I was a kid. Thats real humble of him to say something like that. Hes a real dude. I got plenty of respect for this guy.
I'm pretty sure he's meaning in a MMA fight. In a boxing ring, Bernard would still probably beat their best striker. Let's hope after RJJ vs Silva thats the end of it, ay. MMA can do their thing, Boxing can do its thing.
Bernard is definitely a realist about this subject; he knows that boxers beat MMA fighters under sanctioning body boxing rules while MMA fighters beat boxers under MMA rules.
