He's clearly inferior to Roy Jones.

more significant wins against better opposition same reason Ali's usually ranked above Louis resume vs longevity ranking is very subjective though so cant say anyone's right or wrong unless they're extreme.

If he did all that, including beating a prime Jones in a rematch, plus the amazing things he actually has done, I would have him up there in the top 5. Arguably the GOAT.

Another one is Oscar De La Hoya, had he beat everyone he faced, he would possibly be the greatest ever in my opinion.

I can but as you can expect im not about to at this hour. The best I can do is

    1 Robinson
    5 Pep
    10 Greb
    15 B Leonard
    20 Gavilan
    25 R Leonard
    30 Chavez
    35 Tunney
    40 Patterson
    45 Jones
    50 Liston

Is there many names there you think Hopkins should be above?

Honestly, i think a win over Roy Jones when it actually mattered hurts Hopkins quite a bit..

For the love of God Hopkins gets so overrated its untrue.

He lost twice to Jermain Taylor.

A top 50 atg wouldn't drop 2 decisions to a fighter like Taylor.

I like to wait till the end of a fighters career for the most part before I rank them I'd probably put him at about 23 list are a pain in the ass I was just naming 20 atg fighters id rank above Hopkins I realize know this is gonna be too time demanding so im gonna get drunk in watch the new game of thrones episode in 3 hours instead. I will say Mayweather has the best defense ive seen since Whitaker and is one of the best counter-punchers ive ever seen as well and the best pure boxer of our generation imo his ring IQ and ability to adjust as the fight goes on is top notch.

People will look back at Hopkins and the best guys from the late 80's onwards (with few exceptions) and wonder why the greats of this era fought 3 times a year tops!

    Hopkins the entertainer.

The buzz in the air before a big hopkins fight. The trash talk leading up to it. The tackles, and the trips. Milking every low blow landed on him for all it's worth. The wincing in pain after every foul. His low blows on the ref's blind side. Hitting and holding. Robbery after every decison against him. Joe Calzaghe's doggy style attempt on him.

    Never a dull moment.
